KARACHI: Pakistan batter Bismah Maroof and leg-spinner Ghulam Fatima were involved in a car accident on Friday in Karachi and suffered minor injuries.
The duo received immediate first aid and are now being monitored by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s medical team.
According to details, Maroof and Fatima, along with an unnamed local cricketer from Karachi, were going out for a cup of tea when their car crashed into a footpath while taking a U-turn.
Bismah and Fatima are among probables for the upcoming home series against West Indies and are currently taking part in a training camp.
The series, which includes three ODIs and five T20Is, is scheduled to begin on April 18, with all eight matches to be held at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Both Maroof and Fatima were also part of Pakistan's last ODI series, which took place New Zealand in December, where the former notched up 89 runs in three innings, meanwhile the latter bagged six wickets and was the highest wicket-taker during the series.
